Emcee’s Retirement from the RPF

Blizzard, Club Penguin Armies Media HQ – Rebel Penguin Federation (RPF) Second In Command (and CPAM Executive Producer) Emcee recently retired from her position within the HCOM hierarchy of the RPF. As it was a sad moment for RPF, we all have to depart sometime, right? We at CPAM were able to conduct an interview with her to commemorate her retirement. Read below to see the interview!

Interview with Emcee conducted by Cosmo

CPAM: Hello!! I’m here to interview you for your recent retirement from RPF

Emcee: Oh, right, that thing That’s weird but fun, let’s do it!

CPAM: Alright dawg. Okay first things first: How did you enjoy your time in RPF?

Emcee: I think just like any experience, my time in RPF was full of ups and downs all around. Overall, I think I learned a lot, I made some amazing friends, I met interesting and awesome people, I had some fun experiences and did my best to contribute to a wild, interesting, and cool community. RPF will always have a special, important place in my heart.

CPAM: Wholesome. Alright, so would you be comfortable telling us the reason you retired for?

Emcee: Sure! RPF is an amazing community, without a doubt. However, as you go up the ranks, the complexities of leading, the complexities of my professional relationships, the workload, the pressure I put on myself… all of it was taxing mentally. After I completed the projects I focused so much on, I got promoted to 2ic, which was awesome! But I also came out of this haze of RPF obsessiveness where I realized my mindset had evolved a lot and I needed a break to reevaluate where I stood on things, shake off some of the discomforts I was having, and understand where it was coming from. In addition, there were some real-life things that had been taking a backseat for a while. I took some leave time but I ended up extending it an extra week and in the middle of that week, I realized I needed to focus on myself for longer than a couple weeks of leave. I decided to retire but under the condition for myself that I would consider coming back after certain goals had been met. Is that too long lmao

CPAM: nope perfect. Alright, now how about your favourite things about RPF?

Emcee: Leading and the people! Leading is a lot of fun. If it’s a casual event, I like throwing the reins to random officers and seeing how they do or stuffing everyone in a tiny room and laughing as we try to make a form. If it’s serious, I enjoy the teamwork with other HCOM members or the successful feeling of watching a good X form take shape. Shout out to strike force and the trainings where I made them redo the X form over and over. And the people in RPF really are the best. There are so many smart, funny, caring, compassionate, awesome people. I love talking in chat, hanging out in voice chat with my friends, meeting new recruits and, of course, singing in Karaoke.

CPAM: Awesome. Any last words you’d like to say?

Emcee: Hmm. I’ll miss being as involved as I was in RPF so much but I think some time away from the intensity of leading a Club Penguin Army will do me some good. As I said at the end of my retirement post, IRL > RPF, so don’t lose sight of that. And, of course, as I plan to keep doing, I have to end on: fight the good fight!
