March Madness Final Four Predictions

Klondike, CPOAL Headquarters – With only 5 armies remaining in the tournament, many eyes have been poised on the upcoming Final Four matches with some certainly tricky to call battles taking place. All armies will be at their best trying to advance to the long awaited finals and here at CPOAL we have you covered with our predictions.

*Due to there being an Administrator Error in the Dark Warriors vs. Pirates battle, this battle will be replayed on Thursday, April 2nd. The winner will face the Royals.*

Predictions:

Pirates vs. Dark Warriors (Rematch)

After recent controversy at the Elite Eight, the board decided to host a rematch between these two armies in the spirit of fairness.  In the first tie, Room 1 went the way of Pirates however Room 3 went the way of Dark Warriors signalling how tight this battle was. Pirates currently reside in 1st in the Top 10 maxing over 100 in several events whereas Dark Warriors sit 4th averaging around 60 per event, giving the impression there will be more Pirates than Dark Warriors here for this battle. However this week Dark Warriors were able to hit 75 in definitely showing a swing of momentum after a strong performance in the first battle. It was seen that Dark Warriors could compete with smaller numbers in the first battle, however Pirates still have a significant size advantage coming into this battle.

Interview with Noa, Dark Warriors Leader

CPOAL: Do you believe Dark Warriors are the underdogs coming into this battle?

Noa: No, not really! After seeing how good we did in the last battle against Pirates, I really think we could win. Perhaps in the first battle, the community underestimated us but we came out stong and took the third room from Pirates. Our sizes are growing more and more each week and I think we’ll do pretty great.

CPOAL: It can be said Pirates have had more preparation for this battle having 6 events last week and 2 this week, compared to Dark Warriors have 2 last week and 1 this week, do you think Pirates are better prepared for this battle?

Noa: We will have to see, we have opted with a more conservative approach in regards to events to maximise recruiting efforts. We believe this has been a success, as we are currently at 70 more reactions than our last event information post against Pirates! We’ll have to see whether or not this has an affect on the battle

Noa here shows clear optimism that Dark Warriors can indeed defeat the Pirates, many eyes will be on this battle to see whether Dark Warriors can grab a victory or whether Pirates will brute force their way to victory?

The first battle in the Final Four will be the winner of the aforementioned battle. Royals have maintained 7th in the Top 10 in the past weeks averaging sizes of around 25 but will need a sharp increase in size to compete with the Dark Warriors or Pirates. Observers will definitely see this battle as more one sided due to the prevolent size differential between Royals and the other two armies but Royals put up a hard fight against Aliens, going all the way to the 4th room to reach the Final Four. Royals will certainly be looking at maintaining top quality tactics and formations to try and overcome a large opposing force.

CPOAL: Do you believe out of the Pirates and Dark Warriors, there is a better army for Royals to face?

Mehakk: They both tend to max around the same, but I do want to say Dark Warriors just due to the history of pirates and their long and continuous run on CPO, they tend to be the stronger army at times. However, I think no matter who we battle, they’ll probably come out on top.

CPOAL: There is clearly a large size differential between Royals and the other two armies at the moment, how much of a factor will this be come Saturday?

Mehakk: Typically speaking, the size of the army is the largest factor when judging a battle so I doubt we stand much chance, but the Royals are lucky to have come this far and we aren’t going to back down now.

Mehakk certainly doubts the Royals chances in what can be seen as a David vs Goliath battle. Royals however won’t be giving up on spirit and will be sure to put up a strong performance regardless of the result.

Doritos vs Ice Warriors

Two armies that have been battling non-stop recently clash again in the March Madness Final Four. Both armies have had a tough time getting to this Final Four round with Doritos defeating Redemption in the Elite Eight and Ice Warriors scraping past Kiwis in the Sweet Sixteen round. Ice Warriors sit 2nd in the Top 10 whilst Doritos are respectively 3rd making this the closest match up out of the three battles. However it is currently Ice Warriors with the momentun in the war, picking up several victories against DCP in recent weeks, not to say DCP haven’t had their victories as well. The stakes are high here with not only a place in the Final on the line, but also momentum in the raging war that ensues. Both sides will be desparate for victory in this battle and it will for sure be a contentious battle regardless of who wins.

CPOAL: Ice Warriors have had the upper hand recently in the war in terms of victories, what needs to change in this battle to attain victory?

Wassim23: DCP is currently undergoing a strategic position in the war that enables the Ice Warriors to receive victories when the Doritos are ignoring their invasions.

CPOAL: So far this week Doritos have hit the 100 mark in terms of size, whereas IW have only hit 90, do you expect to maintain the size advantage come sunday?

Wassim23: Yes, we are expecting that.

Wassim seems confident here about DCP’s chances however I’m sure an IW leader would be equally as positive about their chances. This will certainly be a fierce battle that I’m sure no one will want to miss.
