Klondike, CPOAL Headquarters – As new armies continue to emerge and more people continue to return to the community, it has become crucial that there is a source delivering the quickest and most reliable news. Here at CPO Army League, it is our goal to be your source for all the news you need. As a result of all of the new armies, there is now a lot more information to cover and not enough reporters to report on all of it. With that said, I would like to announce that the site is now hiring new reporters.
With schools cancelling around the world and our lives put to a stand still, our community has come together during this crisis. For many, we have been left with nothing to do but rejoin this community. If you are looking for a platform to voice your opinion in this community, here is your opportunity. At CPO Army League, you will have the possibility to progress to administration positions such as Executive Producer, Associate Producer, Editor-in-Chief, or even Chief Executive Officer. If you enjoy writing and would like to contribute to our site as we aim to grow, please consider writing an application.
In addition to this, I would like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Atticus and I served as CEO at both Club Penguin Army Central and Small Medium Army Press during the original Club Penguin Armies. I’ve recently accepted a position on the CPOAL Board and will be working closely with Epic to ensure CPOAL is the premier news site for Club Penguin armies. Example post: The most important environmental problem I think we have right now is the fact that turtles are going extinct. I think protecting the sea turtles is important because without them our beach and sea ecosystems will changed and be damaged. Around September 2017 is when the sea turtles started becoming extinct. It started opening people’s eyes to how much trash and plastic especially we are dumping into the oceans. Killing the sea turtles does not just affect the ones who live in Texas it effects the whole world.
The people at stake in this situation is more than just Texas. It is the whole world. Sea turtles swim around the oceans nesting and laying their eggs everywhere. The main four things they protect, and help are the oceans vegetation, coral reefs, beaches, and provide habitat (Meg Tuber, October 21 2016) How they help the oceans vegetation is they eat sea grass. It is home to many sea animals like starfish and crabs but if it gets too long it can decompose which isn’t useful in the underwater ecosystem, so the sea turtles will eat it kind of like a cow does grass and the turtle gets its nutrients from it. It also helps give a larger area for other animals to live! Since our turtles are endangered it really puts other animals in dangers way as well! Another thing Sea Turtles do is protect our coral reefs.
What sea turtles do for our coral reefs is basically population control! They make sure the reefs don’t get overpopulated by sea sponge because if they did it would just kill them all. That can also cause a big boom in jellyfish and that puts more sea animals in danger. The third thing sea turtles do is help protect our beaches. When a turtle lays her eggs in the nests and the turtles hatch and go to the ocean they leave behind their empty shells. They end up decomposing and giving nutrients to the plants causing them to get stronger roots and give more strength to the sand on the beaches! The last thing that sea turtles do is provide habitat to little sea animals. What happens is a hermit crab will latch on to a sea turtles shell and travel around with the sea turtle as it grows. It will eventually fall off, but the sea turtle basically helps spread around the different types of animals that can latch on to its shell!
What the experts say is the best solution is to just not litter or recycle. Plastic is the main cause of turtle death from cutting off circulation to the airways or from complications of swallowing it. Experts say we should all take care to not litter because no matter where you throw it out it can end up in our oceans and in our turtles causing them harm. More ways you can help with the problem is use your plastic for something creative or fun or find a way to reuse it. You can also help by spending time at Galveston beach just picking up trash you see so it does not end up in our turtles. It can all be just simple little things that make a huge difference.
This can be funded for free in a way. You don’t have to necessarily spend money to save the turtles you can just be more aware of where your trash does go if you litter. You could also donate to charities that specialize in beach cleanup or turtle rehabilitations but mainly doing your part to take care of your trash can make a very big impact on what happens in the end. Recycle reduce and reuse plastic and beware of what you do with fishing line because it is one of the main killers of the turtles. Try to not let any plastic go in the ocean even if you think one little piece would not cause harm it can.
What I think about this whole situation after I researched above makes me sad. We only have one planet and we should take care of it. Every animal has a role in the circle of life and if we do not take care of it, we could easily end up dead because of how badly we ruined our animals that help take care of our ecosystems and habitats. Without our animals in the oceans what would our world look like? How differently would we have to live our lives if all sea turtles were gone? It makes me sad to think about how some of our children could grow up not even knowing what a sea turtle is because mommy and daddy killed them all because we were to lazy to throw away our trash properly. We shouldn’t have to be worrying about this in my opinion and I know some people don’t really care anyway but it should be eye opening to how serious losing one animal could be for everyone in the world not just in one state. It should be eye opening that we could affect the whole ocean by losing one animal.
This is just a shorter example of my work I wrote a paper about sea turtles for GOVERNMENT!
