The Squires of Club Penguin Online were created by Lep on December 2019. It gained a tiny bit of popularity as a small army and average around 5-6 at every event in December; however, Lep had to kick everyone out and there army began to get hate from other armies as they said things such as “Wannabe Templars” , “They will never make it.” etc. A few weeks later, Lep began work another leader, Harry, and CPO staff member, Twaseen. The army began to grow because of this. They then partnered with the Penguin Federal Army, but that partnership quickly ended. The Squires of CPO unfortunately passed away.
In April of 2020, the Squires announced their return. The squires will be led by Lep, Harry, and Sleepy. On April 13th, they hit 10+ people attending their Dojo Card Jitsu Tournament and are now an official CPOAL Army! After the event, Lep stated “We are not a Templars fan club”.
People think that Squires is a Templars fan club Because “Squires” is an Templar rank.
An Interview With Squires Leader, Lep
CPOAL: What Inspired you to come up with the name “Squires Of CPO”?
Lep: I don’t know really. I came up with the idea when I saw the Squire costume at the medieval party.
CPOAL: Do you think Squires can become one of the Strongest S/M armies?
Lep: I hope so, we are aiming to be top 5 s/m at the end of this week.
CPOAL: What are your goals for Squires Of CPO?
Lep: I hope to get it to be large army. We strive to make it easier for people who cannot attend events all the time. Like students, late night workers etc. I hope to grow this community, as long as we all stay active.
CPOAL: Have you lead any Armies in the past?
Lep: No, not officially as far as I am aware. I used to be 3ic in Assassins and Night Rebels and I used to be 2ic in Terminators of CPO which are all armies that are currently shut down. However, Squires is growing day by day and we strive to stay up for as long as we can.
CPOAL: Thank you so much for the interview! Is there anything you’d like to say to the readers?
Lep: Yes! Help Squires to grow by joining us! We have a wide variety of allies who you are allowed to join and help us reach top 5. If you are reading and are already in Squires, stay active and keep up the good work at the minute.
As seen from the interview, Lep has high aspirations for the Squires army. His hope is the army will eventually become a major army. As Lep continues to ally with more people, the Squires could potentially grow even more soon. As the community continues to get stronger, it will be extremely difficult for them to track the top ten; however, they could do if they really dedicate themselves to building up the army.
