Blizzard, Club Penguin Army Media HQ – After 3 years of being shut down, they are back and spicer than ever before: the Takis of Club Penguin. Read below to hear more about their revival!

The Takis first opened on November 22nd, 2014, and were created by Meemaw. They were a small army maxing around 7-8 each event. They were active from 2014 to 2015, when the inevitability of a shutdown came.

On April 11th, 2020 the Takis took to CPATG for their return event. After 3 long years, the Takis came back strong and had a good event, maxing 11.

To learn more about the army, we went directly to one of the Takis leaders: Greeny.

CPAM: What is the Takis about?

Greeny: Having fun.

CPAM: What is the history of the Takis army?

Greeny: Well I was just around for the sixth generation, but there’s quite a bit of information in these channels on our discord.

CPAM: Who is the leader of the Takis?

Greeny: Right now it’s me, Fresh, Karma, and Marshon.

CPAM: What makes the Takis stand out?

Greeny: One thing I’d say is just having Marshon leading, lol. But also just the culture we aim to have is a laid back and fun one which is sorta a contrast of the serious tone a lot of armies have

CPAM: Why do you prefer the laid back environment to the more uptight and serious environment of an army?

Greeny: Just because we realize at the end of the day that we’re just playing a game, and the goal should be for all the members of the army to have a good time, not just them being ordered around.
