ICEBOX, Light Troops Nation – Recently, the Light Troops underwent a few changes within the army, more specifically, undergoing modifications regarding leadership. They have now passed the torch to fellow community member, Ben. Continue reading to hear more details about the brief history, recent leadership changes and plans for the future.
To begin with, originally starting off as the Blue Miners Army but changed to the Light Troops, the army made its entrance to the CP community back in January 2010 by creator and legend, Ioioluk. Starting from the bottom, the Light Troops expanded quickly and participated in wars, battles and other events against armies such as the Army of CP. Despite the controversies that occured within the years, the Light Troops were infamously known as a force to be reckoned with because of legends such as Roberto, Waterkid, KappnKrunch, etc. as they have contributed to making the army victorious. Light Troops then made their way back into the community in November 2018 to soar to new heights under Epic101’s leadership. The army was on and off throughout this time, but they kept up with their consistent maxes of 60-80 troops and hosting tons of practice trainings, battles, tournaments and many more interactive events.

This time around, the Light Troops in May 2020 welcome in a new leader to the Light Empire, Ben. He decided to step onto the plate and lead the Light Troops. I asked to sit down with him and discuss with him his thoughts on becoming a LT Supreme Commander. Let’s hear what he had to say regarding the situation.
Interview with Ben, LT Supreme Commander
CPOAL: Alright, you making your way over to lead the Light Troops was a bit a surprise to everyone. What made you step up to becoming an LT Supreme Commander?
Ben: Yeah It was a huge shock for me too however the reasoning behind my big step-up was because of the Night Warriors incident which occurred recently. For those who don’t know the current owner of the discord and website Flen made a move to join CPR and the other army league him and his goons took my permissions from the discord and spammed anti-CPO stuff all over the discord. I was upset about this as I worked hard in the days as I led NW solo to 50. I was not thinking this would happen and as soon as It did new leaders were hired such as Orange and some nobody. Me and Epic are really good friends from back in the day and I always talk to him everyday I told him the issue and him and roberto insisted hiring me due to my previous work in Marines and Night Warriors. I decided to step-up because I know when Epic wants/needs help, He needed help with getting LT back on it’s feet and having the discord active and hosting fun events and recruitment sessions. The main reason I stepped up is due to our friendship and friends I have got in Light Troops and I didn’t want LT to die.
CPOAL: Could you tell us about the previous experience you had before in armies?
Ben: Well let me sum it up for you as quick as possible as I always answer these. I joined armies in late 2011 and began my career as a kid. I wasn’t really known at all until I joined SWAT and became “Iliketrains2014” then transformed into Polymat and led big armies such as Elites, UMA, Fire Rangers, SWAT, and I also was Doritos 2ic. However, my first army was the Ice Warriors, in which I became 4ic then was recruited by Waterkid for the Pirates. I’ve tons of experience but would be writing a bible answering this question.
CPOAL: Do you think the Light Troops will be successful under your leadership?
Ben: Oh yes of course. This is my time to shine and become a name within Light Troops with Twaseen’s support and also Epic watching my performance behind closed doors. I really do believe we can rally our way back up the leaderboard. So far, I’ve got LT to 45 and the unscheduled training event I hosted recently, around 40-45 solo leading. All we need is to recruit and be active more which won’t be an issue for much longer.
CPOAL: Are there any specific goals or plans you have for the Light Troops?
Ben: Our plans are to plan invasions and try get some old servers back and also continuing our brother alliance with the Pirates. We are also going to be recruiting more often and hiring experienced leadership into this new faction of Light Troops. I also want to jump up the top-ten in which we can easily do so.
CPOAL: That’s exciting to hear haha! Are there any other final comments you’d like to share to the community?
Ben: Glory to the Light.
This surely seems to be an exciting time for the Light Troops, with a new leader taking charge. Despite the incident that occured with the Night Warriors, Ben seems ready to bounce back and lead once again. It’s shown that he is willing to help get the Light Troops back up on its feet and potentially reach higher a spot on the Top Ten Armies. CPOAL should definitely be on the lookout for this army with Ben planning ambitious milestones and events for the Light Troops.
