BREAKING NEWS: IUA shuts down

HUSKY, International United Armies Capital- The iconic S/M Army Alliance, better known as the International United Armies served as a support system to several S/M Armies and was seen to be brimming with potential. However, recently, founder BestPenguin has decided to pull the plug on their operations, and the International United Armies have official shut down as of 11th May 2020.

The genesis of the IUA trace back to the former S/M Armies Alliance, dubbed as the National Armies Alliance. The NAA was created on February 2019 and initially comprised of 6 main armies: Soccer Players, Royals, Sinners, Help Force, Crimson Guardians and Adventurers. The NAA could not sustain itself for longer as issues were raised within the alliance over how the Alliance was being used for the sole purpose of helping Help Force achieve bigger numbers.

Finally in December 2019; Best Penguin, AustinFraud, Tena, ShyPayden, Yeet Bicks and BrPlayer decided that they’d had enough at the NAA, and decided to come together to form their own alliance, the International United Armies. Formally created on the 19th of December 2019, the Internation United Armies comprised of: Soccer Players/Athletes, Royal Family , Aliens, Sky Troops, Adventurers, Tree Cult and Skaters. Over time it saw the departure of some armies like the Royal Family, Sky troops and the Tree Cult, but the IUA continued to thrive as a hub for most S/M Armies.

Cracks however began to appear within the IUA, following their overly ambitious declaration of war against the Ice Warriors on the 9th of April 2020. Armies within the IUA suffered major losses and some armies like The Tree Cult and the Sky Troops decided to leave the Alliance as well. Several leadership changes ensued within the Alliance Armies as well, and finally the Dark Warriors enforced a treaty onto the Aliens and the IUA.

Treaty forced on the IUA

CPOAL received word that the International United Armies were to be shutting down after their final event on the 11th of May 2020. Below is the picture of BestPenguin, founder of IUA, announcing that the IUA would be shutting down on the 11th of May 2020.

So what happened to this iconic SM Army Alliance? When asked about it on the server, this is the response that their founder BestPenguin gave:

The IUA however decided that they would host one last event before their closure. Aliens, Athletes, Squires, Vikings and Actors decided to log in together one last time as the proud IUA alliance on Slushy in what they called the “Waddle on IUA” event. The event was attended by over 35 members from different armies.

And as of 12am EST, the International United Armies are officially disbanded following the final announcement by their founder, BestPenguin.

Final IUA announcement

Lets hear what their Co-founder, AustinFraud, has to say about the disbandment of this Alliance.

CPOAL: First off I’m sorry about your disbandment, but there’s one question that’s probably on everyone’s minds. Why exactly did the IUA shutdown?

Austin: Yeah its pretty sad, Well me and BP thought that it would be best for us to close down because the events that we hosted in IUA was never counted in the Top 10 leaderboard and the only thing that we did was to help unofficial armies to become official. So basically continuing IUA was pointless, so we decided to close down with the agreement of other army leaders affiliated with IUA.

CPOAL: So what would the future hold for the armies within the Alliance, is there another possible alliance looming in the distance?

CPOAL: Well considering how the Aliens have only recently fallen into the Small/Medium army category, do you not think that this is a bad time for the army to lose such an alliance?

CPOAL: So you mean to say that this is shutting down because it’s too much of a burden on Aliens and Athletes alone?

Austin: We are shutting down because we think that we are not helping with the maxes of our allies, like we help them to get official but after that the army just doesn’t grow their maxes but it was hectic for Aliens and Athletes to handle the whole IUA community.
CPOAL: Alright then, fair enough, is there anything else you’d like to say to the community on behalf of the IUA?

Austin:Yeah, I would like to thank each one of your 5 months of service and helped IUA to grow. Waddle On IUA!

And that’s the last of the IUA. It definitely seems like the Aliens and Athletes have had enough of other smaller armies and would like to focus on their own armies for a while. This also comes after a time that the Aliens fell off the Major Rankings and are now a S/M Army. Saying that they were not helping with the other armies’ maxes was a nicer way of putting them down, but the truth definitely seems like the Aliens and Athletes had, had enough of helping other armies. So what does this mean for the future relations between Aliens and the other small armies?
