Dark Bandits Return With A Bang

KLONDIKE, CP Army Media Headquarters – The Dark Bandits of Club Penguin had their opening event on May 12th, 2020, after 5 years of being shut down. It has been a while since they have been in action, but are now back and ready to dominate the Top Ten leader board.

Dark Bandits got their start in the CP army community in 2014. They unfortunately ended soon after, in 2015. However, they returned with a bang yesterday, managing to have a whopping 26 people show up to their opening event. This, paired with the very strong tactics and formations throughout, resulted in an impressive start to this new generation.

To learn more about the Dark Bandits as an army and community, we went to one of the current leaders and creator, Carlos. Below, you will find his interview. The following is solely edited for grammar.

How did you come about leading the Dark Bandits? Where did you start in the CPA community? What inspired you to lead and create this army?

Carlos: Originally, in 2014, I decided to bring the army to life in an attempt to work out my goal of owning an army that I consistently ranked into CPAC. I brought back the army 5 years after its death to make an impact in the community, and to have a big home to anyone who wants to have a good time in and out of Club Penguin.

How did your opening event go?

Carlos: Excellent! We managed to reach our goal and hope to keep these sizes consistent. Oh, and our tactics seemed great to me for a first event so I’m quite proud of that.

What do you see in the future for the Dark Bandits?

Carlos: I see a much bigger family and a bright future up ahead. We hope to be among the top of the competition.

What are your goals in the CPA community as an army?

Carlos: As mentioned before, we want to make an impact, and be a good competitor. Though, I will add that I’m looking forward to competing in tournaments and participating in wars, although being engaged in a one on one war is something we don’t have planned anytime soon.
