Into The Time Machine: Hot Sauce Army

HALF PIPE, Hot Sauce Army Capital – For the third edition of Into The Time Machine, we have an army with flaming styles and blazing history. The Hot Sauce Army of CP is the topic of discussion in today’s version of “Into The Time Machine”.

Let’s step into the time machine.

The Hot Sauce Army was founded by Lil Soulja and Hypermext (later known as Glass) during the middle of 2009. HSA’s first appearance came during a small army contest held by a small army newsgroup at the time. HSA during this time was skilfully controlled by Hypermext and Dudex. They had only placed 2nd in most of these tournaments due to the recent uprising of Club Penguin Lightning led by PanthersBas. Although losing to the much bigger CPL, HSA was the only army out of all the small tournaments to make it into the Top Ten.

They slowly upgraded to WordPress site and xat chat from their usual chat in forums. This change in the medium of conversations resulted in them to recruit a few new members such as Sochaser (aka Shady) who turned out to be a boon to their army. It was still early in summer and now they had a WordPress site and a xat chat, the two essentials in making an army.

They had main leaders soon who were doing their best to help the army. The other founders were inactive and were later removed from power.

They began to start learning the ropes of CP Armies. They made a few allies in the Indians and the Pizzas but, their main objective was recruiting day in and day out. Soon when they had a few recruits such as Tiny_Sara and Steelman13, we then started practising tactics with the fellow allies.

HSA was growing at an accelerated pace; however, some people were getting power-hungry and began to believe that they were the prime leader even though leadership was shared. Some of them would even treat members without respect at times. Therefore, Glass decided to strip them from the leadership. It was an ultimate and hard decision as the ones helped them to keep fuelling the flame but there was no other way left.

HSA was starting to get noticed by a few other small armies, most significantly the Tacos. They were an army that was larger than HSA and even asked us if they wanted to merge. The-then HAS Leaders thinking that this would increase our army by a large margin, accepted the proposal. However, their leader had other plans and wanted to take HSA for their own. This eventually resulted in many problems and soon the merging was declined.

HSA was now growing rapidly, a variety of the old allies wanted to merge with us and they were allowed(The Indians and The Pizzas). This brought in a couple of recruits, thus making HSA army larger. HSA now started to get known by various major armies such as IMAF who would become one of the closest allies. HSA was finally getting the attention that the leaders believed it deserved.

Nitohammer’s first event as a leader.

HSA was now a major army as they clinched into the Top 10 at 6th place. HSA was an army that practically came out of nowhere and grabbed the attention of many when they clinched the Top 10. However, they didn’t stop there, they would continue to rise with their closest ally ever, GW. They would always compete for spots with each other every week. GW would be on top one week, the next week it would be HSA.

HSA would later be part of many major wars such as OA vs IW and the destruction of the CP Crew Army. HSA was proving to be a major force and ally to have in these battles.

The year was passing by and CPAC was hosting a tournament and awards and HSA was asked to be part of them. HSA accepted the tournament invitation and were nominated for two categories “Most Grown Army” and “New Army of the Year”.

HSA was matched up with ACP during the first round but sadly, we were defeated. However, the awards results were in and amazingly, HSA won both of the awards it was nominated for, defeating many armies such as GW and Riffy’s Tacos.

Eventually, they made their way to 2nd position and worked even harder to get the position of Number 1.

After a few weeks passed from the date the awards were announced, Dudex219 began to become bored with CP Armies. Dudex219 would start to come on less and less until he finally decided to retire. It was a hard decision for him, Dudex219felt like he was abandoning the friends he made and he felt as if he was throwing everything they accomplished away. This would eventually lead to the fall of HSA.

A few days after Dudex219 had retired, HSA was dramatically dropping in size. Chat sizes were hitting an all-time low, events and posts were occurring less and less.

HSA would have a quick but dramatic fall. It would be knocked out of the Top 10, dropping from 2nd to nothing at all. It was as if the pace it rose repeated itself, except in the opposite way. Later, HAS ended when they merged into The Doritos.

Opinion

No doubt, the Hot Sauce Army had a flaming history fed with the wooden logs of effort and recruitment. The hard work of the Leaders in making the HSA Army one of the successful armies will always be in the minds of the later generation of Armies. The HSA proved the community that they were nonetheless good than other the-then dominators and made their name memorable to the community by ranking in The Top 10 among other big armies.
