CPAM & CPOAL Unify Under CP Armies: The Game

KLONDIKE, CP Army Media Headquarters – With the shutdown of multiple private servers, Club Penguin Army Media & Club Penguin Online Army League have come to an agreement that will bring the two army conglomerates closer than ever before.

The closure of Club Penguin Online has brought sweeping changes to the army community.  What was regarded as the best place for armies to thrive, CPO has ceased operations two weeks earlier than they announced on the 14th of May, which was covered by CPAM reporter Stracciatella. This leaves notorious armies such as the Doritos, the Ice Warriors, and the Dark Warriors without a home to recruit and battle on. As a result of this, the CPOAL administrators began working to negotiate terms with the CEOs of CPAM.

The current state of the CPO website.

The proposal, mainly geared towards CPO users, was laid out by CPOAL administrator Freezie66, who invited members of the CPAM delegation to share about Club Penguin Armies: The Game.  Freezie, in agreement with Supehero123, CPATG’s owner, and Emcee, CEO of CPAM, announced the intention of basing CPOAL operations on CPATG in the “Community Meeting” server.

Community meetings are not new to the world of armies.  Over the course of 2019, multiple individuals sparked conversation on using CPATG as the “base” CPPS for all armies.  However, after 4 separate attempts in 2019, and one attempt in early January of 2020, it appeared that the two communities were content without each other.  The closure of CPO brought an abrupt end to that toleration of coexistence, once again prompting another unification attempt.

Freezie’s poll to the community.

Ultimately, users responded to the proposal astoundingly in favor of yes.  With this, armies across all CPPSes now have permission to use CPATG.  In addition to this, armies from CPO can now interact with armies they previously never had the chance to battle before.  Every army imaginable now has the ability to battle across the landscape of CPATG.  However, Freezie was quick to state that this is not a unification of CPOAL and CPAM.  The crux of the agreement is only to make CPATG the home for all armies.  Freezie goes on to state that there is still “a lot of work to do” to bring CPAM and CPOAL together in terms of organization.  However, he later says that CPAM and CPOAL will “remain in close contact” about uniting their assets along with their armies.

One prominent question on the minds of many community members is “How do we know that Disney won’t do the same thing to CPATG what they did to CPO?”  In a truthful answer, Superhero stated that it’s impossible to predict if or when CPATG will pop up on Disney’s radar.  The cloudy future has left many to wonder to themselves the future of armies.  Both CPAM and CPOAL made it clear, though, that they are attempting to make the best of however much time the community has left.

Superhero’s message to the community.

It remains to be seen what will occur with this groundbreaking change.  While it’s entirely possible that armies from CPR will battle armies from CPO, and vice versa, it’s also a possibility that many armies will transition into a different game to sustain their longevity.  One thing is for certain, though.  Armies have not died yet.  The community will eagerly await the action that is bound to unfold over the coming weeks.

  1. As a member of Golds Empire (an army from CPOAL), I just want to thank CPA:TG for welcoming us CPO refugees. You truly supported us in a time of need, and I hope we can make many new memories here!
