KLONDIKE & SLUSHY, Battle Rooms — The community witnessed a thrilling quarter-final this past weekend. With four armies unfortunately not moving into the semi-finals, we decided to take a quick look into the leaders’ thoughts regarding their loss.
[Army of Club Penguin vs. Ice Warriors]
On Sunday, June 14th, one of the most intense battles broke out between the Army Of Club Penguin and the Ice Warriors. With this battle going on for nearly one hour, the battle was one for the books. In the end, the Ice Warriors took the win with the final score of 2-1-1.
The CP Army Media team was able to speak exclusively with the current Army of CP Leader, CSY, to find out more about his thoughts ACP’s loss in the LCX.

Why do you think ACP lost in LCX against the Ice Warriors?
It seems that IW had a size advantage in most rooms. Although we put up a good fight with tactics and formations, ultimately they had quite a bit of a size advantage over us and that is probably why we lost
How do you think this loss is going to affect ACP?
To be honest I think ACP put up an amazing fight – IW had 123 on at one point and ACP had 80. With that size disadvantage, we still made it to overtime. Every single troop fought hard, and this is the best ACP has performed in battle or war yet. I think this battle has only been good for ACP morale in terms of hype and recruiting. It was an amazing experience and an intense battle – and I hope IW feel like we gave them a run for their money too 😀
Even with the loss for ACP this Sunday, they plan to only go up from here. The Legends Cup X was a massive milestone for ACP’s performance, and they were able to stay very optimistic about the recent loss, just as every army should.

[Dark Warriors vs. Water Vikings]
The second battle that took place on Sunday was the Dark Warriors vs the Water Vikings. Despite the efforts of the Water Vikings, the Dark Warriors had a size advantage, resulting in the DW taking the win with a final score of 3-0.
The CP Army Media team was able to speak exclusively with one of the Water Viking’s leaders, Thomas83514, to find out more about his thoughts WV’s loss in the LCX.

Why do you think WV lost to DW this Sunday?
I think our sizes fell a little since our battle with the Elites, but more the fact that the Pirates merged into DW giving them an extra boost in size. As they had so many penguins on it was obviously going to be really tough for WV to defeat them.
How will this loss affect WV?
We knew we were going to be ejected from the Legends Cup X at some point, and that was the time for us. If we had advanced into the next round there would have been more chance of WV been defeated. We were pleased we had made it to that stage, and therefore in the future we will keep working hard to make sure we go further the next time around.
The Water Vikings were proud of themselves, regarding their progress in the tournament. They plan to make some improvements and work even harder the next time a tournament comes around. Though they have been eliminated, the Water Vikings will continue to put in work to their army, consistently proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

[Doritos of Club Penguin vs. Help Force]
Another one of the most fierce battles of this round was the Doritos of CP vs. the Help Force on Saturday, June 13th. For all three rooms, DCP and HF quickly came with clean forms, fast tactics, and high turnouts from their members. DCP was able to max 80 troops at this event whereas HF brought together 71. Regardless of DCP having a larger size, HF was able to pull together quick tactics and movements resulting in the score 1-2-0. Both sides performed extremely well which caused the ties of two of the rooms, but by the close call, HF took the first room and the win of this round.
The CP Army Media team was able to speak exclusively with the on of the current Doritos of CP Leaders, Meerkat, to find out more about his thoughts DCP’s loss in the LCX.

Why do you think DCP lost in LCX against Help Force?
It was unfortunate to see the results while I was at work. I believe if we had more training it would have changed the outcome of the battle.
How do you think this loss is going to affect DCP?
In a positive way. it’s going to motivate us to recruit even more and come back stronger.
Regardless of their loss this past weekend, it can be seen that DCP is just more motivated than before to improve their performance! With a possible increase in training, Meerkat believes this could have changed the results of the battle. Nonetheless, DCP still performed fantastically and showed off their great tactics this weekend.
[Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Elites]
The other battle from the Legends Cup on Saturday was the Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Elites. For this round, RPF had over 50 more troops than the Elites. The rebels maxed 91, while the Elites managed to bring 37 soldiers. RPF’s cause of win was the major size difference and the army’s agility. In all three rooms, both teams had joined, but RPF quickly overpowered the Elites, covering their tactics. Once both sides were in formation, they showed some fantastic tactics!
The CP Army Media team was able to speak exclusively with one of the current Elites leaders’, Firestar, to find out more about his thoughts the Elite’s loss in the LCX.
Please note that the following interview has seen minor edits to fix grammar. None of the content has been altered.
Why do you think the Elites lost in LCX against RPF?
We lost due to the sheer amount of size RPF had against us. Most of the times when we called a new formation, we couldn’t see where we were going because RPF would bomb instantly.
How is the loss going to affect the Elites?
It is saddening that we lose at the quarter finals, but this loss won’t affect our army in a poor way. In fact, it’ll motivate us to recruit even more so we can grow the Elites.
The Elites stayed very confident in this round, the size difference making it extremely difficult for them to compete. Regardless, the Elites performed very well, showing the judges some great tactics. They are very optimistic and motivated after this loss, and most likely will be back tougher in the next tournament!

All eight armies of the Legends Cup X brought astonishing performances to the table, but only four were able to move on to the next round. After hearing the thoughts of the four armies that unfortunately lost this round, it is evident that the loss did not phase them out.
What do YOU think? Should these armies have done something differently? Was there another reason behind these losses?
