ICEBOX, Templars of CP Capital — In a shocking yet probable turn of events, Xing, Templars’ creator has retired from leadership.
After the community witnessed another deface of the Templars discord, the administration was in shattered pieces. With the army dropping in its sizes, Xing announced his retirement.
Xing joined Club Penguin Armies in 2013 as a member of the Army of Club Penguin (ACP). Once he became the fourth in command, he left and joined the Rebel Penguin Federation (RPF). Soon after, he joined Light Troops (LT) and became a moderator. Once Club Penguin shut down, Xing joined the Club Penguin Rewritten Armies. In 2017, he formed three armies, the most well-known being the Red Comrades. After the Romans closed on March 2, Xing created the Templars. In the beginning, the only leaders were Xing and Elmikey, but as time went on, more administrative roles were made and more people rose in ranks.

On Friday, June 12th, Xing decided to retire after two years of leading and appointed Brownpen4 as the new emperor. Brownpen4 joined in the early days of the Templars and rose to a Grand Prior along with Xing. There are a few leaders-in-training, including Boneless, who said that Brown
“hadn’t messed anything up and has been pretty nice to the army.” Xing demoted himself to an Advisor, but still says he will be an active part of the community.
CP Army Media spoke to the new leader about his plans for Templars and the possibility of Xing returning.
What are your plans for Templars?
Yes. I plan to grow Templars to great sizes as we were during our gold age. I’m also planning several wars and invasions to further grow our empire.
When did you join Club Penguin Armies?
Around the middle of 2017.
Did you expect the promotion to the emperor?
Yeah I knew it was coming after the defacement. I knew Xing needed a break but this isn’t my first time as emperor. I’ve been emperor at least 4 or 5 times now.
When Xing comes back, will he become emperor again or stay as an advisor?
Well most likely when he does return he’ll take his spot as emperor.
