News Digest [August 1st – August 8th]

ALASKA, CP Army Hub Headquarters, News Digest Desk – Welcome to the latest edition of CP Army Hub’s Weekly News Digest, where we round up the main talking points of the last seven days! This week we’ve divided the news into the following sections: retirements/rank updates, wars and battles, army openings/closings, and finally the significant news that doesn’t fall under the other categories. Retirements/Rank Updates

Spotty Inducted Into Dark Warriors Leadership

The former Help Force leader has been in the Dark Warriors for a while after joining the army earlier this year for the rank of Second-in-Command. The army has been doing fairly well and placed 5th in last week’s top ten. We wish Spotty the best of luck as Commander of DW!

Ash Promoted to Coup Crusaders Leader

Ash was a Leader-in-Training for a long time at the Coup Crusaders and has been extremely loyal to the army since she joined earlier this year. She started her army career at the Golds but then moved to The Galactic Empire before settling at CC. We are certainly excited to see what she can achieve with CC!

4207b Returns to Lead Templars

The former Doritos and Templars leader recently came back to the army after their recent altercation with the Recon Federation. We are excited to see what this experienced leader will bring to the table at the Templars.

Night Changes In One Direction Army Leadership

ODA has become a staple army in the community which has lasted for a long time as a S/M army. However, they’ve recently experienced a major change in leadership when Astro left the army. He was awarded legend status and was announced as a godfather of the army. In the same announcement, Aubz announced that Gravie would now be taking the lead and she’ll be joining Mare and Aubz herself at the helm.

Attai Appointed Commander in Chief of People’s Imperial Confederation

He started his career in the community at the Recon Federation of CP before moving to PIC and helping lead their UK division. He ended up retiring in June due to school but has recently come back to help the struggling army return to power.

SWAT Leader Hiroyuki Steps Down; Sammi Returns To Leadership

SWAT have recently been popping after their recent invasions of Superstars land however they ended up losing a leader as Hiroyuki has now quit due to losing interest. They will remain as an advisor for the time being with former SWAT leader Sammi returning to lead the army again.

Wars and Battles

Rebel Penguin Federation Successfully Invades Recon Federation

Earlier this week, the Rebels scheduled an invasion of the server Yukon from RFCP. This server was originally taken by RFCP from the Templars who tried to take it back before cancelling their invasion and making way for RPF to take it. The Rebel managed to achieve a max size of 96 to RFCP’s 31 which caused their invasion to be deemed successful.

August Sadness: Grand Final Results

Due to the March Madness continuation being deemed invalid, CP Army Hub decided to proceed with a new tournament name in August Sadness. The final occurred between the Ice and Dark Warriors after the Ice Warriors beat the Doritos in the semi-finals. After a long and difficult battle, the Ice Warriors emerged as champions of the August Sadness tournament winning with a score of 2-0-1.

Coup Crusaders Disqualified From Beach Brawl Finals

In an administration statement, it was announced that Beach Brawl finalists Coup Crusaders would be disqualified due to breaking one of the tournament’s rules: no dual-enlistment. The post is long with a lot of details so we encourage that you check it out here

Army of Club Penguin Creator Oagalthorp Makes Shocking Return

The creator of the Army of CP showed up earlier this week in their discord. Many people doubted that he was the real Oagalthorp but he was eventually verified by Shaboomboom and Boomer20. The legendary leader also showed up in the Rebel Penguin Federation discord to catch up with the Rebel Penguin Federation creator Commando717.
