ALASKA, CP Army Hub Headquarters – Welcome to this edition of The Next Leader, written by Reporter Kally. In this column, the CP Army Hub staff sits down for a chat with the Leaders in Training of our army community. After all, they are our future leaders. This week, we talk to Shadow from the Silver Empire. What are her thoughts on leadership? What should we expect from her? Exactly who is this future leader?
For this week’s edition of “The Next Leader”, we acquaint ourselves with Shadow from the Silver Empire! Shadow’s career started in the Golds Army in early 2020, just a couple of weeks before its shutdown.
Like many other former Golds members, Shadow moved to the Silver Empire right after its creation in April. The Silvers are known for quickly reaching incredible maxes, which helped them rise on the weekly Top Ten. They even managed to beat a major army in a practice battle despite having a smaller size. During the time, Shadow was a diligent troop of the army and quickly started climbing the ranks.
On June 21st, Shadow reached the position of trial moderator and started learning the ropes of the behind-the-scenes in armies. From the beginning, she was praised for her event attendance and activity in the server. Shadow also gained notoriety as the #1 BTS fan in the army, and just a month later was promoted to full staff in the army.
Two months later, on September 16th, Shadow earned her promotion to Third in Command. Finally a part of the Higher Command, she started specializing in events. To this day, Shadow always helps write a big portion of the tactics and makes weekly themed event posts. Her efforts don’t go unnoticed and on November 16th, Amber, a current Silver Empire leader, announced her promotion to Second in Command.
Whether it be dreaming about RM from BTS in the main chat or telling the Empire’s advisor Daniel to wake up in the voice chats, Shadow has become an irreplaceable troop for the Silver Empire. She supports the leaders like no other, helping with events and even with Amber’s allegedly non-existent sleep schedule.
CP Army Hub staff reached out to Shadow for an exclusive interview. What are her thoughts on armies and army leadership?
If you became leader today, what are the first three things you would do?
The first thing is I would like do is thank everybody in SE staff on showing the ropes for coming this far. Without the people in SE staff I would pretty much be clueless because I didn’t know that Club Penguin even had armies till this year. Especially Amber since she has been there for me when I don’t understand to do something and when I have had my moments when I needed cheering up from a best friend.
Second would be hanging out with people in SE more often since I tend to be shy around a lot of people. I wanna hear the opinions peoples’ in SE what they do in the near future or what we could improve. There is another reason because I wanna get to know the people in who joined SE since we are not just an army but also a family.
The third thing is I would have more free time to host events more often since some of the staff in SE need to have a break once in a while. I don’t want anybody in our staff to overwork themselves or make it seem like it’s a chore to do when doing the events. The health of the staff is important since I do not see the SE staff members as friends, but a family from different parts of the world.
You certainly prioritize the family and friendship aspects in armies. Do you see that as your main goal as well? Meeting new people and making new friends?
My main goal for armies is to not just to focus on being an army, but also be a place where you can be yourself, have fun and chill. I believe armies should get to know the people who join them. It will give you a better view when you connect with different kinds of people.
Is there anything on your army leading bucket list you want to cross off before you retire? Legend status perhaps?
I want to do a giant joint takeover event with all of our allies there. It would be very exciting to see that happen one day.
Sounds awesome! Over your army career, have you had any major influences? You already mentioned Amber, but is there anyone else you look up to?
I would say I look up to Stevie and Amber, Daniel (our SE baby, also known as the advisor for SE). When Stevie gives out his opinions on important decisions he tries his best to remain neutral and also comes up with funny word tactics. Amber knows when to be a serious leader and when to be a funny one. Daniel has a very vast knowledge on armies so you can count on him about his opinion on armies.
Last one! If you could only use one emote tactic for the rest of our career, which one would it be and why?
:EY:
I tend to use it a lot and I could never get tired of it.

Shadow’s main goal is to have fun and expand the Silver family. She also wishes to plan a massive joint event with all of the Empire’s allies one day. With her experience and near-perfect event attendance, Shadow would surely make a great Silver Empire leader. All that is left is to wait for that one last promotion!
What do YOU think? Do you agree with Shadow’s view on leadership? Let us know in the comment section below!
