BOREALIS, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics Empire – Two months after their revival, the USSR members saw the sun set down on their army once again. On December 5th, the USSR announced that they would be shutting down. What was the reason for their demise?
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was created on July 16th this year by Satchmo, 54x, and Aisha. They became a small/medium army and held events until their shutdown in August 2020. After a month of inactivity, they were revived by Roman, Crisy, and Satchmo on October 19th, 2020. The USSR became an official army once again on October 20th, 2020.
After two months of working together as an army, Crisy announced that the USSR would be closing their doors. Crisy stated that due to personal issues and the end of Flash, the army would not continue. Moments after this announcement was released, Satchmo inducted Crisy and Roman as USSR Legends. The reason for this induction was the time put into the army and the commitment they showed towards it.

The CP Army Hub team was able to get an exclusive interview with Crisy about the shutdown.
Why did you decide to shut down the USSR?
Roman and I were very busy with our personal lives, and just didn’t have enough time for it. Also the ending of flash soon would just make everything more difficult.
Do you plan to revive the army anytime in the foreseeable future?
We currently have no intentions on doing so, but hey u never know what the future may hold :IWwaiting:
Were you planning this shutdown for a while?
To be completely honest no. We kept trying to schedule events but conflicts would come up making it very difficult. After not having an event for a while we spoke about it and decided shutting down would be best.

It seems like the USSR has closed down their doors and ended their journey as a Club Penguin army. It is certainly sad to see this army bid farewell to the community. Will the USSR ever be revived again?
