Top Five Moments of December 2020

ALASKA, CP Army Hub Headquarters – As we wave goodbye to 2020, we take a look back at the Top 5 Moments from December. But what was crowned number one?

The CP Army Hub staff team recently held a meeting to discuss what we collectively believed to be the ‘Top Five Moments‘ from December 2020. This includes moments that have resulted in a significant impact on the community as a whole, whether that be a war, retirement or scandal. So without further ado, we present the December 2020 listing.

5. Flash Nemesis War: Army of CP vs. Special Weapons and Tactics

Written by: Reeee

On December 26th, the Army of Club Penguin declared war on the Special Weapons and Tactics. The clovers claimed that the hatred displayed by SWAT was clear. This led to the Flash Nemesis War; which took place from December 26th to December 31st. The two armies battled for the occupation of Cozy, Hockey, Avalanche, Klondike, Nevisca, and Mittens, where the Clover Defenders were able to win each room in every invasion. The war concluded on the 31st of December, with 7-0-0 Clover victory. The Flash Nemesis Treaty states that the Army of Club Penguin will not help in the Weapons and Toppings war. The treaty also declared that SWAT cannot invade the clover nor help to invade them. This agreement is set to expire on March 31st 2021. As the war concludes, it begs the question, will the conflict between these armies ever occur again?

4. Rebel Penguin Federation Wins Christmas Chaos; Help Force Wins Aces of AUSIA

Written by: ActionSpark

The community recently saw two action filled tournaments held in the month of December. One was the traditional Christmas Chaos held by the Club Penguin Army hub, whilst the other was the Aces Of AUSIA held by CP Army Legend Mchappy. The CCX consisted of 16 armies all invited by the CP Army Hub themselves. This was a four week long tournament, and the finals saw two big powerhouses, the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Ice Warriors going up against each other. After a fierce battle between both armies, the Rebels took their fourth trophy of the year.

The Aces of AUSIA was the first of its kind, held at AUSIA times as the name states. It was held to show how strong the AUSIA community really was. It was a tournament open to all armies. This too was a four week long tournament, with very close battles overall. The final week of this action packed tournament saw the Army of Club penguin go against the Help Force, while the Red Ravagers went against the Silver Empire for runners up. After two well fought battles, the Helpers ended up taking the gold trophy, with the Clover defenders taking the silver medal and the Silver Empire taking the bronze medal.

3. Legend Inductions and Person of the Year Announced in CPAH Awards Week

Written by: Coolguy

We have held many award over the festive period including induction legends. The nominations for awards are one thing that people look forward to year on year and we continued that tradition by hosting legend inductions but also by holding some fun awards of our own. Our first set of awards was the Oagalthorp World Records 2020. With 16 categories and even more winners, this set out to be an exciting lineup which included titles such as Oldest Active Vet, (army with the) Most Wars and even Most Couped. The second set of awards was the legend nominations. Nine nominations were made for the small/medium army legend inductions, however, in a shocking turn of results only two of them were inducted. The two of the small/medium army leaders that were inducted were Freedomist (ex-Templars leader and Water Ninjas leader/Ice Warriors Staff) and Lightningmcj (Pizza Federation’s leader).

For the major army nominations, there was 16 nominees, however, only four became legends. CSY (ACP leader), Crazzy (Rebel Penguin Federation leader), Ayan (ex-Help Force leader/ ex-CEO of CP Army Media) and Regan (Ex-Ice Warriors leader) were inducted as 2020 CP Army Legends. The third set of award took a different path, however, as we looked at the previous post that were made in 2020 and decided to make our own top 10 posts of the year with first place going to Jack283 for his post ‘Recon Federation: An Inside View Of The Hidden Regime’ which gave us the inside scoop on how they run as an army as well as some of the things they don’t want us to see. The fourth set of awards were for the staff working at CPAH. There were 2 categories and 20 awards to be won. The first category was for regular awards, such as; Best Graphic Designer, Best Judge and much more. The second category was named ‘Administration’s Amusing Awards’ which took on more of a fun, light-hearted approach to awards.

Some titles for award for this category were ‘most likely to never write a post’ and even ‘Most Likely To Host The “(Insert Seasonal Item Here) Website Hunt’ The fifth set of awards was for the person of the year and there could only be one winner. This award has been around for many years, much like the legend inductions so is considered as prestigious within the community. With 5 nominees it was hard to decide a winner but the winner was decided. The winner of The Person of The Year Award 2020 went to Crazzy for their contributions to both their army and the community. Finally, the last set was for everyone in the community to enjoy and were given out at the gala that was held on the last day of Cparmies.net. Categories for these awards included ‘Best Dressed’ and also ‘Gala Royalty’. Congratulations to all the winners from every one of these award ceremonies.

2. Community Says Goodbye To Flash and CPArmies with End of Year Gala

Written by: Mehakk

Preparations for the end of flash had begun ever since the news had come out. The wonderful developers in the community worked, and continue to work, tirelessly in order to provide a stable CPPS for all the armies. CPArmies, and Superhero123, have been here since other CPPS’ had been shut down. In order to celebrate and say a proper goodbye to our beloved CPPS, the community gathered for a final gala. As awards were being given out, we saw a plethora of members come out and join us.

There were about 60 people in attendance and several awards such as best dressed couple, most 2020 look, best group outfit, gala king and queen, and many others. The winners of the awards include; Purplelady05, Shebyr, Saph, Fang, a group dressed as fruits, Jacob S, a group dressed as Monsters Inc, Mehakk, and Orange. Following the celebrations and goodbyes, CP Army Hub announced their partnership with CP Chapter 2 (CPC2) which will be an html5 client that will have a server specially dedicated to armies. Though we believed that this would be the end of armies as a whole, it is clear that there is still much more to come.

1. Pookie437 and Cassie Step Down; New Administration Declared

Written by: Caramel

On December 17th, the shocking news that Chief Executive Officer Pookie437 and Vice President Cassie had stepped down from their respective positions broke out in the CP Army Hub discord server. An announcement made by Chief Executive Officer LuciferStar briefly explained what had happened, mentioning administrative matters which were meant to be addressed privately had unfortunately became public.

However, following these shocking events, a post written by LuciferStar and Max on the same day revealed that two new figures would be joining the administration. After the loss of Pookie437 and Cassie, Editor-in-Chief Sophie and Advisor Orange joined the administration team as Vice Presidents. While Sophie had been an exceptional member of the Head Judges and reporting heads team, Orange had constantly offered advice, serving as an Advisor for several months. Orange also had much experience as a member of an administration, previously holding an Executive Producer role in both the Small-Medium Army Central and CP Online Army League and serving as a Vice President in CP Army Media.

With a new administration, CP Army Hub also announced several other promotions within the staff team. These included Associate Producer Caramel’s promotion to Editor-in-Chief and Reporter Kally’s promotion to Associate Producer. As Orange assumed his new administrative position, CP Army Hub was also pleased to announce the addition of Snork to the Advisor board. To finish off the string of promotions, moderators Crazzy, Tsanami, and Shinde were inducted as the first Head Moderators. Lastly, with the new administration and staff promotions declared, LuciferStar expressed that CP Army Hub was looking forward to ending the year on a positive note.

Whether you agree with our listing or not, there is no doubt the month of December has been a very busy one for the community. As we now head into the first month of the new year, what can we expect to occur? And what moments will top our listings at the end of it?
