What Would YOU Do: Staff Imposters

ALASKA, CP Army Hub Headquarters – Often, one may find themselves asking what they would do in any given CP Army situation. In this installment of What Would You Do, army leaders were asked how they would respond if they discovered their staff ranks had been infiltrated by an enemy imposter.

It is not unheard of for armies to send certain individuals into the ranks of their enemy in order to find out information. Whether it be to learn of the future army plans and intentions or just to look around at the server. Often, you will hear members state that they have an alternative account in another army’s server, and many people do this to gain access after they’ve been banned. Overall, while it may help an enemy army at the time, but in the end, the likelihood of them getting exposed is high, and this will put the individual and the army they’re associated with in a bad light.

What would you do if you discovered an enemy imposter had infiltrated your staff team?

Crazzy, Rebel Penguin Federation’s Leader

I’d be amazed if that were to happen, because RPF is very careful with who we promote into staff positions because of the accessibility to sensitive/classified info. But if this situation were to arise, we’d immediately strip the person(s) of their roles, ban, and address the situation at hand (based off the severity of leaks).

CSY, Army of Club Penguin’s Leader

ACP have already learnt our lesson from this following the events of WWR, and we think that if something shouldn’t see the light of day, it shouldn’t be said. Of course, the actions will depend on what was leaked as well as the intent. If it revealed certain rather dodgy behavior, and they were merely pointing it out, of course we would seek to rectify the situation and improve. However, I assume that an enemy imposter refers to an enemy leaking war plans, and based on the treason protocol enacted by Shab in 2014, this “staff” member would be promptly removed from the team and stripped of all medals, as well as further action such as being banned from the chat based on the situation.

Austin, Elites’ Leader

We would quickly remove their position as staff and they will get banned from the discord server, without taking a second thought. A meeting will be in order between the leadership of our army the enemy’s army to discuss further details.

Tsanami, Crimson Guardian’s Leader

If I found out that an enemy imposter had infiltrated my staff team, I would remove their perms and such before figuring out what their specific purpose was for infiltrating. I would also warn the rest of the staff of the situation so that they would be informed of what happened to prevent any further confusion or questions regarding the situation.

Rach, Golden Troops’ Leader

I would try to do as much investigating into it as I could without being suspicious and see if they’ve done it in other armies before then maybe have a talk with them to see what their past army experience is,and if I was to find out that they’re from the other army I would report and or ban if needed and tell the other leader about it

JustAsh, Crystal Cowboys’ Leader

Well, if an enemy imposter had infiltrated my staff team & I found out, I would definitely remove them from the Leadership team. No question about it. However, I’d make sure to question them before kicking them. Stuff like: Why’d you do it? How much do they know? etc. I’m an extremely loyal person so betrayal does NOT fly with me. If it was all up to me, that person would be kicked (possibly banned, depending on the seriousness of the offense), and if the offense was severe, I would make sure the rest of the army was made aware of their actions as well. Leading is a group-effort though, so I’d make sure to discuss with my fellow Commanders before doing anything too permanent.

By the looks of things, no one would think twice about removing the individual from the ranks, most even stating that they would ban them from the server. Although, some leaders stated that they would confront the person in question to see what their intentions were, as well as bring in the leaders from the enemy army. In the end, these army leaders would not take imposters lightly as they expect trust and honesty from all of their staff members.

This begs the final question…
