UNKNOWN TERRITORY, Templars’ Empire – As more and more armies are being affected by the September drop, various leadership changes have occurred as a result.
The most recent example of this was in the Templars. On September 4th, Templars leader, Freedomist, announced his retirement event, which took place on the 5th. Freedomist first joined the Light Troops back in 2016, but remained inactive as a troop until he joined the Templars in August 2019. He then quickly ranked up to leader in an astounding six days and helped lead the Templars to huge sizes of 60 plus.

During his time in the Templars’ leadership, Freedomist helped lead during various wars, which includes the war against Help Force and the National Army Alliance. Under his leadership, the Templars also made a comeback from their most recent defacement, skyrocketing up to a max of 30 plus. This is almost three times the sizes they saw beforehand. Freedom has definitely been recognized for all of his contributions to the army as he was granted the “Templar Legend” role in the Templars’ Discord server.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Freedomist’s time with the Templar’s officially ended after an amazing practice battle against the Crimson Guardians in which they maxed 23 and won with a 3-0 victory.

Fortunately for them, the Templars saw a promotion following Freedomist’s departure. Only hours after the retirement, Chainpro received the Imperator rank, known as main leader in Templars. He received this promotion less than 2 weeks after his promotion to leadership, which occurred on August 26th. Chainpro plans on overcoming the September slump by working and fighting hard as an army. He also plans on preserving the Templar’s legacy and marching on despite losing Freedomist.

Chainpro’s announcement.
The CP Army Hub staff were able to reach out to Freedomist for an exclusive interview regarding his retirement from the Templars.
What is the reason for your retirement?
Well I just started school, and attending events at 10PM is a bit of a stretch because I have to wake up early. There’s also the possibility that events will be later, possibly at 1AM – 3AM for me. I don’t feel like leading that late on mobile if it’s not a major war. There’s also mental health because with September coming I’ve been stressing out a little so leading isn’t exactly helping with that. So to be honest it’s a combination of being busy, burn out to an extent and mental health.
What was your experience like leading Templars?
I’ve worked with an amazing team. I’ve been leading for over a year and I don’t have many complaints. I’d like to thank people who have led with me for a while including Xing, Brownpen and ccrocket along with people who are currently leading with me recently including Boneless, Otter, Chamitao, Chainpro and Matt. I wouldn’t be where I am without them and it’s also been a great time. I’ve had a lot of laughs along with memorable moments with the army. And of course, I’ve enjoyed leading trainings and battles where we manage to get an impressive max. It’s been a fun experience.
Do you believe Templars will be able to thrive without your leadership?
Of course! We have a lot of very capable leaders and HCOM. Although the September drop is imminent I believe the army will power through. One retirement won’t ruin an army that has been around for over 2 years. I also plan on advising the army to help the leaders through any struggles or uncertain moments. I wish the leaders, HCOM and members the best of luck during my absence.
Are you considering rejoining Templars leadership in the future?
Well it’s not impossible. It really depends if I have the time and how I’m feeling. I came back this time because since May we’ve been defaced twice so I wanted to help rebuild following the defacements and CPO’s shut down. If the army really needs me and I have the time, I would consider coming back. However, for now I’ll stick to advising.

Overall, Freedomist definitely left a lasting impact on his army and the community will dearly miss him. Going from a Templars’ troop to leader in 6 days to helping the army reach high maxes, he will definitely be a leader to remember. We here at the CP Army Hub wish all the best for Freedomist and his future endeavors. How will the Templars be affected by his absence? Will Chainpro be able to lead his army to victory? Only time will tell.
What do YOU think? How will the Templars carry on after the loss of an important leader? Let us know YOUR thoughts in the comment section below!
